Candle Care
First Burn
When lighting your candle for the first time, let it burn for 2-3 hours, ensuring the top layer of wax fully melts. This prevents tunneling and helps the candle burn evenly over time.
Subsequent Burns
Do not burn your candle for more than 3 hours at a time after the first burn. This helps maintain a clean burn and prevents the glass from overheating. Keep the wick trimmed to ½ cm (¼”) at all times to prevent smoke and ensure a steady flame. This also helps the candle burn cleaner and longer.
Center the Wick
An underrated step but after each burn, make sure the wick is centered in the wax. This ensures the flame burns evenly, prevents tunneling and the glass from overheating. The wick should never touch the glass.
End of Life
As you near the end of the candle, leave about 1 cm (½”) of wax unburned. Avoid burning for longer than 3 hours to prevent the glass from becoming too hot, which could cause it to break.
